I’m on a boat: Bodrum Harbour (Turkey)

Bodrum is a port city in Muğla Province, in the southwestern Aegean Region of Turkey. The city was called Halicarnassus in ancient times and was famous for housing the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Another famous landmark in Bodrum is Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 15th century.  Bodrum is quite touristy.  It’s harbour is full of life with shops, restaurants and other activities catering to the mostly European tourists.  Here are some photographs of its picturesque harbour and marina.

    1. Thanks. Yes, aside from the harbour and beaches there are also some amazing historical sites, like Bodrum castle, the Mausoleum of Mausoleo (one of the 7 ancient wonders of the world) and Ephesus (a couple hour bus ride away).
